Early this morning, I heard Spree pacing in the living room. I knew her litter was coming soon because she looked like she could burst any moment, but her due date wasn't for another week! Once I started hearing the occasional whimper from Spree, I knew it was time and begrudgingly rolled out of bed.

At 3am on Christmas Eve, Spree gave birth to seven puppies with Ambush, their father hovering over with concern. We have named the puppies onomatopoeias.

Without further ado, introducing Quake the female red merle tri, Strike the male red merle tri, Impact the female red, Crash the male red, Clash the female gold, Crunch the male gold merle, and Wham the female red tri.

Wham is our pick of the litter and will be staying on the farm to continue our breeding program.

Here at the farm, the Spree x Ambush puppies are learning to love their kennel. This morning I caught five of them all curled up together inside the kennel, so I think training is going pretty well on that front! All the puppies seem to be getting along fairly well and they even share their food from the bowl each morning.

I also gave them their puppy check ups today. Everyone gets a clean bill of health! I loved getting to do some husbandry training so, their future vets won't have any issues at their clinic with these pups. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

The day has finally come, the puppies are old enough to go to their new homes. It is a bittersweet day here at the Cloud Nine Kennels. Clash is the first to head to her new home and we spent the day saying our goodbyes. It will hard to let this special little one go.

Clash was the center of attention today and go countless hugs and pats on the head. Spree, Ambush, and very dirty Wham cuddle with her on the bed. This morning Clash got up early to help me around the office before the work day began. She is going to make her new family at Flat Top Ranch very happy!
